The original building of Old Polegate Station was previously the town’s only train station before closing in 1984 and being converted to a public house in 2004. The pub was heavily damaged by fire 6 years ago and shortly after suffered further storm damage to the large flat roof (which had been temporarily repaired over many years).
The building was finally deemed unsafe and plans were granted to demolish it.
In its place, plans were submitted to construct a 3.5 storey building with 22 flats, associated parking and retail space on the ground floor.
The application was met with fierce opposition from local resistant’s and historians, therefore, it was imperative that the design of the new building had a heritage appearance to appease the residents and council.
A lightweight DANOSA single-ply roofing system with an Alpha profile finish was proposed by Invictus Roofing to give the building a heritage zinc effect and strike a perfect balance between modern architecture and maintaining the town’s heritage values.

We had a very large roof replacement completed on split sites at Hove Park School in 2017. We had a large area of the Nevill Campus roof replaced over the changing rooms and student toilets, which was conducted during the school holidays.
